The Need for Better Insight
Our client’s Latin American operations, headquartered in Colombia, had historically used a combination of Unit4 and Deltek as their accounting and project management platforms. Due to how these systems were implemented, they suffered from a lack of real-time insight into project performance and profitability, as well as other key business metrics.
As a result, the organization’s leadership set an aggressive timeline to implement a new ERP platform in Latin America that would help provide project managers with access to critical data around the performance of their projects, provide better insight to management around key business and financial performance metrics, provide improved data security and statutory compliance capabilities, and help them standardize key processes based on best practices.
The Microsoft Dynamics 365 Solution
Our client selected Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations as their new platform, initially to be deployed for their Latin American operations. Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations is a global cloud-based ERP platform with a specific industry solution for project-driven services organizations, which includes A/E/C firms.
SAGlobal worked with our client to implement Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations to manage the organization’s core financial management, project management and accounting, and procurement-related activities. This includes time and expense management, which is being used by over 800 employees across the region.
This was a successful implementation, completed in six (6) months. Our client ran their business as usual on Day 1 after cutting over to Dynamics 365.
